SCHINDLER TALKS : Precarious and Uncertain Good
with LISA KULISEK + NOOTAN BHARANI
Join us this August for a conversation with Lisa Kulisek and Nootan Bharani. They’ll be talking about Pauline Schindler, Jane Addams, the Hull House and wherever the conversation leads.
Lisa Kulisek, AIA (she/her) is an architect with her own practice who lives, works, and tends to children three quarters of a mile due west of Jane Addams’ Hull House in Chicago. Her interests in urbanism, history, and masonry materials have led to work on renovations of buildings dating from 1766, 1874, and the early twentieth century.
Nootan Bharani, AIA (she/her) is Associate Director of Design and University Partnerships at Arts + Public Life at the University of Chicago. An architect with a deep background in environmental sustainability, she has spent much of her career in non-traditional practice, working directly with community partners on design, building and infrastructure projects.
